I don’t understand the people I live with…they don’t seem to get the same joy I do out of looking at a well-spun skein of yarn. Bigger on the Inside from Knitty Spring/Summer 2012
In an attempt to use up my acrylic stash, my family is being forcibly presented with various slipper socks for this fall/winter. The first pair uses a mosaic pattern from Barbara Walker’s Second Treasury of Knitting Patterns. The second pair uses the hunters stitch which is basically a rib stitch, alternating twisted knits and purls. The next 3 pair were cable experiments, and the final pair was made with a medallion inlay around the ankle. In spite of this productivity, the stash remains inexorable…
